To raise people’s awareness, through teaching, training, and coaching, about the potential, and power of their own minds. To heal, to let go of limiting thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviours, to build resilience and mental capacity, to cope better with the challenge and opportunities life brings, to live healthier, happier, and meaningful lives.
To equip children with the ‘Tools for Life’ by teaching, and training them about their own minds, enabling them to self-regulate, build resilience, develop greater mental and emotional stability that will support them throughout life. Stability of mind is the key to freedom.
I am a BACP qualified, registered, and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist providing a client-centred integrative approach to therapy, utilising a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness based CBT, and Mindfulness based stress Reduction.
Having over 14-years’ clinical experience of working within mental health services and corporate wellbeing specialising in stress management, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, loss, and workplace burnout.
I am also a qualified and experienced mindfulness practitioner, trainer, and coach with over 30 years’ experience of mindfulness practice and how it can be used to support psychological, emotional, physical health and wellbeing by reducing levels of stress, anxiety, and low mood whilst increasing overall resilience, emotional regulation, and mental capacity to deal better with life’s ups-and-downs, challenges, and opportunities.
My approach interfaces Western neuroscience, psychology, and psychotherapy with the ancient wisdoms of how the human mind-body system works, as a method towards understanding and alleviating the stresses and strains of the modern world we live in, mind-body system overload, technology stimulation where we rarely get five minutes away from computers or phone, and very little time to ourselves – a recipe for disaster!
I work in private practice across all sectors including NHS, corporate and education, providing a client-centred integrative approach to health, wellbeing, and personal development. I help people to develop proactive strategies to navigate through, anxiety, depression, and despair to a place of balance and control, to feel calmer, cope better and move in a direction of positive growth.
I am a fully qualified clinical supervisor experienced working within NHS IAPT service providing clinical supervision for IAPT counsellors and psychotherapists. I am also a mindfulness supervisor providing clinical as well and non-clinical mindfulness supervision.
